WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Mike Myers Keitt had 20 points to lead six double-figure scorers for Monmouth (N.J.) in a 106-78 rout over Northeast Conference champions LIU-Brooklyn on Saturday night.

Andrew Nicholas added 18 points, both Will Campbell and Jesse Steele had 14, Dion Nesmith tallied 11 and Austin Tillotson chipped in with 10 for the Hawks (12-19, 10-8). Steele also added a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Hawks returned the favor for a 106-86 loss at LIU on Jan. 14, putting up the same winning point total in this contest. It’s the most points Monmouth has tallied since a 1997 win against the same Blackbirds.

The Hawks, who outshot LIU 56.9 percent (41 of 72) to 43.1 percent (25 of 58) from the floor, forced 23 turnovers that turned into 33 points for Monmouth.

Julian Boyd finished with 17 points to lead the Blackbirds (22-8, 16-2).
