Sacramento State defeats Idaho State 70-67

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Joe Eberhard scored 16 points and hit a 3-pointer with a second remaining to give Sacramento State a 70-67 victory against Idaho State on Saturday night.

Heath Hoffman added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Hornets (10-18, 5-11 Big Sky). Jackson Carbajal had 13 points and John Dickson 10.

Kenny McGowen had 30 points, made six 3-pointers and assisted on Melvin Morgan’s jumper for the Bengals (9-19, 7-8) that tied the score with eight seconds left. Andre Hatchett added 13 points.

Sacramento State concluded its season. Idaho State wraps up at Eastern Washington on Tuesday, with the winner clinching the No. 4 seed and a first-round home game in the Big Sky tournament.
