Mueller, Flisar win in World Cup ski cross

BISCHOFSWIESEN, Germany (AP) — Katrin Mueller of Switzerland won a ski cross event Sunday for her first World Cup victory. Filip Flisar of Slovenia captured the men’s race.

Ophelie David of France was runner-up among the women for the second straight day. She was followed by Marielle Thompson of Canada.

Sanna Luedi of Switzerland was leading going into the weekend’s events, but she did not compete because of injury and slips to third. Three events remain.

Among the men, Switzerland’s Alex Fiva was fourth and took the lead in the overall standings.

Flisar won World Cup race for the second time and moved into fourth in the standings. Canada’s David Duncan was second and France’s Jean Frederic Chapuis finished third.
