A Vancouver man was cited for negligent driving and third-degree driving with a suspended license after crashing his car at 2:07 a.m. Sunday, the state patrol said.

The patrol report said Michael E. Tijerina-King, 26, was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am northbound on Interstate 205 at about Mill Plain Boulevard.

The report said, “Driver fell asleep at the wheel, awoke and overcorrected, Vehicle spun out and struck the jersey barrier on the right. Vehicle came to rest on the right shoulder.”

Tijerina-King was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center where he was treated and released, a nursing supervisor said.
