CLATSKANIE, Ore. (AP) — The landmark Hump’s restaurant at Clatskanie served its last meals on Sunday after six decades cooking up chicken fried steak and hospitality to local residents and travelers along Highway 30.
Owners Eric and Pam Sellix had been looking to lease or sell the restaurant, but with no takers they decided to close so they could retire. Both are 68 and plan to travel.
Pam Sellix told The Daily News (http://is.gd/z7RbYi) she’ll miss the staff and customers the most. She has watched children grow up and bring their children back to the restaurant.
