MILAN (AP) — U.S. midfielder Michael Bradley says Wednesday’s game against Italy will be a real test of his team’s credentials before World Cup qualifying starts again.

The Americans have lined up a series of challenging exhibition games ahead of June’s match against Antigua and Barbuda, with home games against Scotland and Brazil scheduled for May.

Bradley plays in Italy with Chievo Verona and says “it will be a very difficult game … but a good test.”

The U.S. is on a three-match winning streak, but this is the first time coach Jurgen Klinsmann will be able to call on his top players since November’s 3-2 victory over Slovenia. The Americans defeated Venezuela and Panama with a backup squad.
