SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A threat phoned in to a Portland radio station has forced the closure of one building of a Salem community college.

Chemeketa Community College spokesman Greg Harris tells the Salem Statesman Journal (http://stjr.nl/yBpsdY ) that a caller told the radio station on Monday that there would be a shooting in a campus building.

An outgoing message from the college says that building will be closed all day.

Harris says it’s unclear when the station got the call. The school was informed of the threat at about 8 a.m.

The call follows a hoax bomb threat called in on Feb. 13 to a Portland television news station that prompted Chemeketa officials to close campuses.
