Electronic nicotine bar open in Olympia

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The Volcano Vapor Cafe in downtown Olympia offers customers coffee, tea and electronic cigarettes.

Owners tell The Olympian (http://is.gd/6L2gYV ) it’s the first franchise of a Hawaii-based chain in the state.

Electronic cigarettes don’t burn tobacco. The device heats flavored liquid to release nicotine fumes.

Owners say they check identifications to make sure they don’t serve minors. Thurston County does not regulate electronic cigarettes.
