POULSBO, Wash. (AP) — A 64-year-old woman was run over and killed in the parking lot of a church in Poulsbo.

Police say Cheryl L. Penttila of Port Ludlow was hit by a car pulling into a handicapped parking spot at the First Lutheran Church.

The driver was an 82-year-old Poulsbo woman who didn’t see her Tuesday evening, possibly because of the weather and darkness.

Deputy Chief Wendy Davis told the Kitsap Sun (http://is.gd/k5TUPu ) the two women were at the church for a quilting club meeting and knew each other.
