FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) — Predators captain Shea Weber has taken a big step in his recovery from a concussion by returning to the ice in non-contact drills.

Weber skated Tuesday with the Predators in a public practice in Franklin, but Nashville coach Barry Trotz says there is still no timetable for when the Norris Trophy finalist will return to game action.

The defenseman was hurt on Dec. 23 in a loss at Dallas and has missed four games. The Predators are 3-1 without Weber, who leads the Predators with 29 points.

Weber didn’t speak to reporters after practice Tuesday. The Predators’ next game is Thursday night at home against Dallas.
