DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Chicago Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub is the latest candidate to interview for the Miami Dolphins’ coaching job.

The Dolphins completed a two-day interview with Toub on Wednesday. They’ve also interviewed former Titans coach Jeff Fisher and Todd Bowles, who was Miami’s interim coach for the final three games this season after Tony Sparano was fired.

Toub has been with the Bears since 2004 and helped Devin Hester, Johnny Knox, Robbie Gould and Brendon Ayanbadejo win Pro Bowl honors. He was an assistant special teams and defensive line coach for Philadelphia in 2001-03.

Toub’s ascent to a head-coaching job would not be unprecedented. Ravens coach was John Harbaugh was the Eagles’ special-teams coach for nine years.
