SEATTLE (AP) — Mount Rainier National Park says it will reopen to the public on Saturday. All services with the exception of snow play will be available this weekend.

The park has been closed since Ranger Margaret Anderson was shot to death on New Year’s Day trying to stop a car that failed to stop at a chain-up checkpoint. A memorial service is being planned.

The gunman, Benjamin Colton Barnes, was found Monday face down in a snowy creek. An autopsy Tuesday showed that he had hypothermia and drowned.
