LONDON (AP) — Tim Howard became the fourth goalkeeper to score in the Premier League when the American put in a wind-blown punt for Everton during Wednesday night’s game against Bolton.

The American, playing his 250th club match in England, put Everton ahead in the 63rd minute at Goodison Park. His right-footed punt from his own penalty area bounced about 25-30 yards from the Bolton goal and was blown by the wind over leaping Bolton keeper Adam Bogdan and in.

The only other goalkeepers to score in the Premier League are Peter Schmeichel, American Brad Friedel and Paul Robinson.

The game marked the return to Everton of American midfielder Landon Donovan.
