Germans dominate luge World Cup meet

KOENIGSSEE, Germany (AP) — Olympic champion Tatjana Huefner rallied to beat German teammate Natalie Geisenberger at a luge World Cup meet Thursday.

Geisenberger skidded sideways in the penultimate turn and Huefner captured her 30th World Cup win. Alex Gough of Canada was third.

The German pair of Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt won the men’s doubles by setting a course record. Olympic champions Andreas and Wolfgang Linger of Austria were second. Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken of Germany were third.
