FIAMBALA, Argentina (AP) — Officials called off the sixth leg of the Dakar Rally on Thursday due to dangerous, snowy weather conditions in the Andes, where drivers were to cross Friday from Argentina to the Chilean city of Copiapo.
Officials said vehicles will cross the high mountain pass in a convoy Friday, but there will be no competitive leg.
