AUCKLAND, New Zealand (AP) — The ASB Classic singles final between Italy’s Flavia Pennetta and China’s Zheng Jie was postponed until Sunday because of rain Saturday.

Organizers made the decision late Saturday saying the final will be played indoors if rain persists.

Fourth-seeded Pennetta, the world No. 20, will attempt to win her 10th career singles title, while unseeded Zheng is bidding for her fourth title from six finals appearances.

The doubles final was played indoors, with third-seeded Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic beaying Pennetta and Germany’s Julia Goerges 6-7 (2), 6-2, 10-7.
