NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Hornets guard Eric Gordon will miss two to three weeks because of a sore right knee.

The Hornets say Gordon’s knee was swollen after he led New Orleans with 22 points in a 101-93 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. Team doctors have recommended rest.

Gordon leads the team with a 21-point average. He missed the previous four games after he bruised the knee during the season opener Dec. 26 in Phoenix.
