The Vancouver man who was burned in a car crash Dec. 3 is recovering at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland.

After being listed in critical condition for about a month, Brian J. Hall, 22, was listed in serious condition at the hospital on Friday, officials said.

Hall was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after his BMW hit a utility pole at McLoughlin and Grand boulevards about 2 a.m. that Saturday.

Hall’s car was on fire when nearby resident James Bray rushed to the scene and pulled him from the car with the help of a few others.
