DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) — Jake Cohen tallied a double-double, scoring 29 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, to lead Davidson past Georgia Southern 96-74 on Saturday to stay unbeaten in early Southern Conference play.

De’Mon Brooks added 24 points and Chris Czerapowicz 12 for the Wildcats (10-4, 4-0), who have won three straight games.

This one was never in doubt as Cohen, who finished 2-for-2 from 3-point range and 11-for-12 at the charity stripe, had a pair of layups and a 3 in the first 3 12 minutes of the game.

That outpouring sparked a 25-7 Davidson run out of the gate, and the Wildcats led 53-31 at halftime before cruising in the second half.

The Wildcats outrebounded the Eagles 36-19 in the contest.

Eric Ferguson scored 20 points to pace the Eagles (5-9, 3-1), who had won back-to-back games for just the second time this season coming in.
