FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Ben Mockford scored 28 points and Stefan Perunicic added 21 as St. Francis (N.Y.) posted its highest point total of the season with a 99-84 Northeast Conference victory over Sacred Heart on Saturday.

Mockford, whose total was the highest by a Terriers player this season, made 10 of 15 shots, including 8 of 13 on 3-pointers.

St. Francis (6-9, 3-1) shot 58.2 percent (32 of 55) for the game and the Pioneers (7-10, 1-3) shot 51.7 percent (30 of 58).

The pace was much different than the teams’ last meeting, when St. Francis held Sacred Heart to 15 first-half points in winning 78-51. This time, the Pioneers had 31 at halftime, but their position was much the same, as they trailed 53-31, and they got no closer than 14 points in the second half.

Chris Evans scored 24 points, Justin Swidowski 18 and Shane Gibson 15 for Sacred Heart.
