Spanish immersion programs coming up

Parents interested in enrolling their children in the kindergarten Spanish immersion program at Evergreen Public Schools must attend one of the upcoming information sessions.

The two-way Spanish-English program at Marrion Elementary School is now recruiting students who will start kindergarten this fall. Children must be 5 years old by Aug. 31. The program serves native speakers of English or Spanish.

To find out more about the program and to apply, come to one of the informational meetings at the library at Marrion Elementary School at 10119 N.E. 14th Street. The meetings are held 7 p.m. Feb. 9 and Feb. 23, and 10 a.m. Feb. 10 and Feb. 25.
