MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Chris Udofia scored 15 points to lead five Denver players in double figures as the Pioneers used a late run to pull away from South Alabama in a 67-50 Sun Belt Conference win Saturday.

The Jaguars (8-6, 0-3), who had come back from deficits of 15 and 22 points in the last two meetings to win both, trimmed a 16-point deficit to nine with 7:19 left. But Denver (13-3, 3-1) scored 11 of the next 14 points and held South Alabama to only one more field goal.

Brian Stafford added 12 points, Brett Olson and Chase Hallam had 11 each and Royce O’Neale chipped in 10 points and seven assists for the Pioneers.

Denver, which has won seven of its past eight, hit 11 of 26 3-pointers.

Augustine Rubit had 17 points to lead the Jaguars, who committed 22 turnovers leading to 26 Pioneers points.

South Alabama outrebounded Denver 29-19.
