Boy, 10, killed in 3-car crash in Beaverton

BEAVERTON, Ore. (AP) — A 10-year-old boy was killed in a three-car crash Sunday night in Beaverton.

Police say an SUV crossed the centerline, sideswiped one car and collided with another car in which the boy was a passenger. His mother was critically injured and a 15-year-old brother was also was taken to a hospital as a precaution.

Police arrested the driver of the SUV, a 38-year-old Vancouver, Wash., woman, on assault and manslaughter charges. Police say she may have been drinking.
