Princeton beats College of New Jersey 79-68

PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) — Brendan Connolly scored 16 points to pace four double-figure scorers as Princeton got past Division III College of New Jersey 79-68 on Sunday.

Ian Hummer added 15 points, Douglas Davis 11 and Patrick Saunders 10 for the Tigers (9-7), who have won three straight and five of six.

The Tigers kept in front of their DIII foe most of the way despite the close final margin, leading 42-35 at halftime and outscoring the Lions 37-33 in the second half. With 4:56 to go in the game, Princeton led by 22 points for its largest margin of the contest

Princeton had a 46-20 edge in rebounding, a 34-22 margin in bench scoring and a 44-30 advantage scoring in the paint.

Skyelar Ettin scored 15 and Kyle Rawson 14 to pace College of New Jersey (6-8).
