Kelly Ann Hill, 34, and her five-week-old son, David Zachary Barresse, went missing from the Stevenson area after an alleged domestic violence incident, according to a sheriff’s news release issued Jan. 1. They were found safe on Jan. 2.

2.) Police respond to another apparent suicide attempt on I-205 bridge

Emergency responders were called to the I-205 bridge late Sunday afternoon after another apparent suicide attempt, the second in two days.

3.) Police ask for help finding missing woman

Vancouver police asked the public to help find Ariana McGuckin, a 20-year-old woman who has autism and had been missing since Jan. 2. She was found safe on Thursday.

Thirteen-year-old Cody Sherrell collapsed and stopped breathing during basketball practice late Tuesday afternoon at La Center Middle School.

5.) Tax dispute shutters Mattress World stores

Portland-based Mattress World has announced it will shutter all seven company-owned stores within the next month, after being served a warrant by the Washington state Department of Revenue for roughly $1.7 million in delinquent sales taxes.
