Slain Everett burglary suspect was 22-year-old man

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — The Snohomish County sheriff’s office says detectives are still investigating Monday’s fatal shooting of a burglary suspect at a home near Everett.

The 54-year-old homeowner shot the 22-year-old suspect during a confrontation.

Detectives obtained a search warrant to search the house. They also seized a vehicle.

The body was turned over to the Snohomish County medical examiner’s office, which is confirming his identification before releasing his name.
