ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The University of Central Florida has picked an Oregon State executive to replace the school’s previous athletic director who resigned after he was cited by the NCAA.

School officials announced Tuesday that Todd Stansbury will be in charge of UCF’s athletics program.

Stanbury previously supervised business operations for Oregon State’s athletic programs as the school’s associate athletic director.

UCF’s previous athletic director, Keith Tribble, resigned in November after the NCAA cited him and a football assistant for unethical conduct. The alleged violations included being involved with runners for sports agents and cash payments and gifts to recruits.

UCF is currently on NCAA probation until February of 2012 for football staff members placing impermissible calls to perspective recruits between 2007 and 2009.
