MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin center Peter Konz is planning to skip his senior season and enter the NFL draft.

Konz, a first-team All-Big Ten player who started 31 games for Wisconsin over the last three years, announced his decision Tuesday. He stepped in at center as a redshirt freshman in 2009 after Travis Frederick was injured in the second game of the season.

Badgers coach Brett Bielema says Konz worked hard on the field and also represented the university and the football program “in a first-class manner.”
