MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Timberwolves will be without forward Michael Beasley and guard J.J. Barea this weekend when they travel to New Orleans and Atlanta.
Beasley has not played since Jan. 6 because of a sprained right foot. Barea missed four games this season with a strained left hamstring and now is out with a sprained left ankle.
The Timberwolves have been hit hard by injuries early in the season, with swingman Martell Webster, guard Malcolm Lee and center Brad Miller yet to play this year.
Kevin Love also missed practice on Thursday for personal reasons, but will make the trip to New Orleans for a game against the Hornets on Friday. The Timberwolves play at Atlanta on Saturday before returning home.
