Battle Ground — The North County Community Food Bank distributed about 200 Christmas baskets Dec. 17 to local families in need.

John Idsinga, event organizer and president of the food bank, said the Christmas basket program cost $5,600 to put together and each basket was worth $220. Many donations and volunteers made the program possible. Idsinga would like to thank all those who volunteered in some way.
