Ridgefield — The second-annual Focus on the Future art show at Alcove Art Gallery features work by 35 art students from the four Ridgefield schools.

Art teachers from the schools selected one student from each grade to exhibit in the January show. Forty pieces will be on display at the gallery through Jan. 28. At a First Friday reception on Jan. 6, the students and their teachers were honored at a reception.

The gallery supports student-focused art to highlight and encourage emerging young artists in the local community.
