RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Derrick Williams had 18 points and a career-best 13 rebounds as Richmond dominated in the first half and beat Temple 76-65 on Saturday night.

Darien Brothers scored 19 to lead the Spiders (11-7, 2-1 Atlantic 10 Conference), who beat the Owls for the third time in a row in Richmond.

Khalif Wyatt had 22 points and Ramone Moore 17 for Temple (11-5, 1-2), which led only after scoring the game’s first basket.

The Spiders, using a combination of dominance inside led by Williams and Darrius Garrett, and the 3-point shooting of Brothers and Kendall Anthony, used runs of 10-1 and 10-0 in the first half to open their biggest lead — 44-25 — at halftime.

A 6-0 run pulled the Owls to 53-42 with 13 minutes to go, but Williams scored in the lane for the Spiders and Cedric Lindsay hit a free throw to rebuild the lead to 56-42.
