The Clark College basketball teams remained undefeated in NWAACC West Division play with a sweep of Lower Columbia on Saturday at Longview.
MEN: Clark 73, at Lower Columbia 60 — Mark Morris High grad Austin Bragg had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds in helping the Penguins to a victory.
Blake Bowen led the way for the Clark (14-1, 4-0) with 18 points. Lucas Swanson added 14 points and Derek Owens 12.
Clark, ranked third in the NWAACC coaches poll, scored 20 points off 17 LCC turnovers as the Penguins pulled away from a 30-23 halftime advantage.
Lower Columbia’s Aaron Alston led all scorers with 31 points and 11 rebounds.
WOMEN: Clark 76, at Lower Columbia 61 — Five Clark players scored in double figures, and Chelsea Dyson had a double-double as the Penguins won their seventh consecutive game while improving to 4-0 in the NWAACC West Division.
Dyson had 18 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Clara Russell scored 16 points, Deborah Simmers 15, and Farrine Scott 13.
Clark’s big advantage came from 17 points off 13 LCC turnovers.
“It was just a great team effort,” Clark coach Nancy Boone said. “We played great team defense, and moved the ball well on offense.”
The Clark teams visit Pierce on Wednesday in Lakewood.
