INNSBRUCK, Austria (AP) — Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak acknowledges that more than 70 construction projects for the 2014 Sochi Winter Games are behind schedule.
But he said Sunday that the delays “won’t affect the Olympics.”
Kozak, speaking through a translator, says 400 venues are being built and “70 of them isn’t such a huge delay.” He said the delays are related to “some paperwork.”
He was visiting the inaugural Winter Youth Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria.
