LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — No. 1 Baylor hopes to extend its winning streak and avenge one of its three losses last season when the Lady Bears visit No. 17 Texas Tech on Wednesday night.

The Lady Raiders were unranked when they beat the Lady Bears 56-45 to halt Baylor’s 21-game win streak last February. The win came a year after Baylor center Brittney Griner, now the Big 12 leading scorer, delivered a roundhouse punch to Jordan Barncastle. Griner was ejected from that game.

This will be the final time Griner, a junior, and Barncastle, a senior, will play in front of Texas Tech fans.

The Lady Raiders (14-2, 2-2) are having their best season in years, while the Lady Bears (17-0, 4-0) have won 17 straight.
