Vancouver-based Northwest Pipe plans to expand its manufacturing plant in Saginaw, Texas, the company said Monday.

The expansion project includes increasing the diameter and thickness ranges of spiral-welded steel pipe. Other upgrades include two new buildings and improved testing equipment.

The company, which makes steel pipe primarily for drinking water systems, said the expansion will enable it to “better serve the needs of anticipated large water projects in the area.”
