Air museum’s Tuskegee display to feature models, other artifacts

Hudson’s Bay — George Humphries has loaned Pearson Air Museum a model of a fighter plane that will be on display in the new Tuskegee Airmen case being unveiled Friday. The model featuring 3,828 parts was hand-built by Humphries’ uncle Robert Shaw during five years in the 1950s. The model will be featured with a “Red Tail” P-51 Mustang model, a Tuskegee Airmen jacket on loan from Norris Hibbler of Vancouver-based Aircraft & Marine Assurance Agency Inc. and reader boards about the accomplishments of the fighter group.
