KITZBUEHEL, Austria (AP) — Cristian Deville of Italy won a men’s World Cup slalom Sunday, and defending overall champion Ivica Kostelic finished third to win the combined event and go top of the overall rankings.

Austria’s Marcel Hirscher, who led the standings going into the race, was disqualified for straddling a gate in his final run.

Deville finished in an aggregate time of 1 minute, 39.19 seconds to beat Austria’s Mario Matt by 0.72. Kostelic trailed Deville by 0.78.

For the combined event, the results of Saturday’s downhill were added to the slalom results.
