HARRISON, N.J. (AP) — Former Syracuse goalkeeper Jeremy Vuolo has signed with the New York Red Bulls.
The MLS club announced the agreement on Wednesday, pending receipt of his international transfer certificate.
The 25-year-old spent 2011 with a Finnish team, AC Oulu, recording 11 shutouts for the third-place squad.
Vuolu spent his senior season at Syracuse after playing three years at Hartwick College. As a senior in 2010 for the Orange, Vuolo started 15 games. He was named the team’s Most Valuable Player after ranking fourth in the Big East in saves and saves per game.
