Bowling Green defeats Central Michigan 71-58

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — A’uston Calhoun had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Bowling Green to a 71-58 win over Central Michigan on Wednesday night in Mid-American Conference action.

Scott Thomas and Jordon Crawford added 14 apiece and Dee Brown 12 for the Falcons (9-10, 3-3), who sent the Chippewas to their fourth straight loss.

Bowling Green outshot Central Michigan 51.1 percent (24 of 47) to 36.5 percent (23 of 63).

The Chippewas (7-12, 2-4) led 12-9 when the Falcons used an 8-1 run to take a lead they never relinquished.

After Central Michigan got to 21-19 on a Jevon Harden layup with 6:37 to go until halftime, Torian Oglesby made two layups to spark a 10-2 run and a 31-21 Falcons lead at the break.

Trey Zeigler scored 17 points to lead the Chippewas, who lost for the first time in Bowling Green since the 2005-06 season despite a 41-29 rebounding advantage.
