Fairleigh Dickinson beats Bryant 66-63

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — Lonnie Robinson scored 25 points and grabbed six boards as Fairleigh Dickinson beat Bryant 66-63 on Thursday night, snapping a 16-game losing streak.

Fairleigh Dickinson (2-18, 1-8 Northeast Conference) took a 36-27 lead into halftime before Bryant rallied to cut the lead to 60-56 with 2:56 left to play. Bryant got it down to 64-63 behind a three-point play by Claybrin McMath with 8 seconds showing.

However, Robinson made two of his nine free throws in the final seconds to seal the victory.

Robinson was 7 of 17 from the field for the Knights, who shot 46.7 percent as a team.

Despite outscoring Fairleigh Dickinson in the paint 26-10 and on second-chance points 16-10. The Bulldogs (2-19, 1-8) only shot 39 percent (23 of 59) from the field and 28.6 percent (8 of 28) from 3-point range.

Frankie Dobbs scored 22 for Bryant, who lost their sixth straight game.
