NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (AP) — Kwame Vaughn scored 15 points and made a layup with four seconds remaining to help Cal State Fullerton to a 70-68 victory against Cal State Northridge on Thursday night.

D.J. Seeley led the Titans (13-6, 5-2 Big West) with 20 points and eight rebounds, and Omondi Amoke added 14 points and seven rebounds.

Stephan Hicks had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Matadors (5-13, 2-6), who tied the game at 68-all on Aqeel Quinn’s two free throws with 1:15 remaining. Josh Greene added 14 points and Vinnie McGhee 13.

After Northridge’s Stephen Maxwell missed a short shot out of an inbounds play, Fullerton State called timeout, then got the ball to Vaughn, who drove in from the left side to the basket.

Isiah Umipig scored 11 points for the Titans.

All three of the Matadors’ top scorers came off the bench; Northridge got just 13 points out of its starters.
