MALABO, Equatorial Guinea (AP) — Salomon Kalou scored in the 16th minute, Bakary Kone headed in an own goal the 82nd and tournament favorite Ivory Coast clinched a quarterfinal berth at the African Cup of Nations by beating Burkina Faso 2-0 Thursday night.
In the earlier Group B game, Sudan twice rallied from defensive errors to tie Angola 2-2.
Angola went ahead on goals by Manucho in the fifth and 50th minutes, the latter a penalty kick. Mohamed Ahmed Bashir scored in the 33rd and 73rd minutes for Sudan.
Ivory Coast (2-0) leads the group with four points, followed by Angola (1-0-1) with four and Sudan (0-1-1) with one. Burkina Faso (0-2) cannot advance.
