Wofford wins 11th straight over The Citadel, 62-55

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Karl Cochran scored 18 points to lead Wofford to a 62-55 victory over The Citadel on Thursday night, its 11th consecutive victory over the Bulldogs.

Kevin Giltner added 15 points for the Terriers (13-8, 6-3 Southern Conference), including two free throws and a jumper that gave Wofford a 47-43 lead with 5:57 remaining after the game was tied for the 10th time.

A pair of 3-pointers by Cochran helped Wofford increase its lead to 55-46 with 4 minutes left, and the Bulldogs (4-16, 1-8) never got closer than four points after that.

Drew Crowell added 12 points for Wofford, which has won four straight and defeated The Citadel 82-63 when the teams played Jan. 8.

Bo Holston scored 14 points and Mike Groselle 10 to pace the Bulldogs, who have lost four in a row.

Wofford shot 52 percent (13 of 25) after the teams were tied 21-21 at halftime.
