STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) — Markus Duran scored 14 points to lead Pacific to a 61-51 victory over Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo on Thursday night.

Khalil Kelley had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Tigers (7-12, 3-4 Big West). Ross Rivera scored all 11 of his points on free throws and had nine rebounds.

David Hanson had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Mustangs (12-9, 3-5). Amaurys Fermin added 13 points.

Duran made his fourth 3-pointer while falling to the floor to beat the shot clock with 7:23 remaining, boosting Pacific’s lead to 48-38 after Cal Poly cut the Tigers’ 10-point halftime advantage to one early in the second half.

Duran injured his ankle on the play and did not return, but Pacific held off a late Cal Poly challenge by making its free throws down the stretch.

Cal Poly shot 29.7 percent from the field for the game, making just 3 of 29 shots from beyond the 3-point arc.
