Wash. woman, 87, found dead; relative in custody

KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — Police say an 87-year-old Kennewick, Wash., woman has been found dead in her mobile home. Officers have detained a young male family member.

Police spokesman Mike Blatman identified the woman as Viola Williams. A relative found her body Friday afternoon.

Blatman says the cause of death was not immediately known. But there were no signs of forced entry. Police have detained a 28-year-old man. Blatman said the man would be booked for investigation of homicide.
