PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Authorities say a 17-year-old girl has died after an apparent snowboarding accident.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office says the girl was reported missing from a Mount Hood ski resort Friday night. Her friends and family told authorities that they had last seen her three hours earlier.

KGW-TV reports (http://bit.ly/xEfiIl) the girl’s body was found just off the main run at Skibowl. Investigators say she was wearing a helmet and they’re trying to determine how she died.
