NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — William Mosley had 14 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots and Northwestern State shut down Southeastern Louisiana midway through the second half to win 55-38 Saturday.

Tied at 36 with 12:19 remaining, the Demons (12-9, 5-2 Southland Conference) held the Lions to two points the rest of the way as Southeastern Louisiana missed 16 of 17 field goal attempts, three free throws and turned the ball over six times. Elgin Bailey, who led the Lions with 12 points, made a layup with 9:16 left for the Lions’ final score.

Northwestern State won its third straight game and snapped a six-game losing streak in the series.

The Demons shot only 36.2 percent (21 of 58), but it was enough as Southeastern Louisiana (8-11, 2-5) finished at 27.6 percent (16 of 58).

Mosley is now 17th on the NCAA all-time blocks list with 91 this season and 421 in his career.
