Japan’s Ito wins 2nd World Cup ski jump win

SAPPORO, Japan (AP) — Daiki Ito of Japan won his second consecutive World Cup ski jumping event Sunday, a day after first victory his career.

Ito had the longest jump of the day of 149.8 yards after a first effort of 139.4 yards, and finished with 243.7 points. Poland’s Kamil Stoch was second with 241.6 points after two jumps of 143.8 yards.

Overall World Cup leader Andreas Kofler of Austria was third with jumps of 134 and 147.6 yards that gave him 241.3 points on the Okurayama large hill.
