Long Beach State beats Cal State Fullerton 75-61

LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) — James Ennis scored 19 points, including 13 in the final 7:03, as Long Beach State pulled away for a 75-61 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday night.

Larry Anderson had 16 points and five steals and Casper Ware 11 points for the 49ers (16-6, 9-0 Big West), who closed the game on a 15-2 run en route to their ninth straight win.

Omondi Amoke had 20 points and seven rebounds and Isiah Umipig 16 points for the Titans (13-7, 5-3), who have played six of their last seven games on the road and had to contend with a record crowd of 5,649 at Walter Pyramid on Saturday.

After Cal State Fullerton rallied from a 10-point deficit to tie the game at 53-all with 6:35 remaining, Ennis hit a 3-pointer to put Long Beach State ahead for good. His three-point play with 3:48 to play made it 63-59 and triggered a 12-0 surge.

T.J. Robinson had 10 points and nine rebounds for the 49ers.

Long Beach State shot 25 free throws to Cal State Fullerton’s four.
